Payment Extension and Payment Plans
We understand that, at times, it can be difficult to meet your electricity costs. When this happens it is important you contact us. If you are experiencing difficulty paying for your electricity usage, you are entitled to the following:
- Payment Extension – If you are experiencing short term financial difficulty an extension of time to pay this amount can be arranged.
- Payment Plan – We have a number of payment plans to assist customers in paying their bills and can arrange the payment plan that best meets your needs.
- Energy Efficiency Advice – Changing or reducing your electricity usage is one way to reduce your costs. Our experienced team can assess your individual circumstances to ensure that your energy costs are minimised.
Utility Relief Grant Scheme (URGS)
You may be eligible for a grant under the Utility Relief Grant Scheme. Please contact the Victorian Department of Human Services on 1800 658 521 for further information.
Emergency Electricity Payment Scheme (EEPS)
If you are experiencing difficulty with paying your electricity bills, and you are eligible for a concession, you may be eligible for a relief payment through the Department of Communities and Social Inclusion’s Emergency Electricity Payment Scheme.
To apply, you will need to visit a financial counselor who will make an assessment of your circumstances before an application can be made. If you need assistance locating a financial counselor near you, you can visit the MoneySmart website for more information.
