Solar feed-in tariff

You're doing your part for the planet, let us do ours.

What’s a feed-in tariff?

You can think of solar as the gift that keeps on giving. When your solar panels produce more energy than you use, this energy gets fed into the electricity grid. A feed-in tariff (FiT) is a credit you get paid for ‘feeding in’ this renewable energy into the grid.

What will my feed-in tariff be?

Your FiT depends on the state you’re in:

VICTORIA

The minimum feed-in tariff set by the Essential Services Commission is 4.9 cents/kWh. The general feed-in tariff under Tango's current electricity plans is 4.9 cents/kWh.

These rates are subject to change, and we will let you know beforehand if they do.

If you have a premium feed-in tariff agreement already in place, you can switch to Tango and continue to receive your premium FiT rate. Applications for the premium FiT are closed.

NEW SOUTH WALES

From 1st of May 2023, Tango’s FiT for new customers is 0.0 cents/kWh.

This rate is subject to change, and we will let you know beforehand if it does.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

From 1st of May 2023, Tango’s FiT for new customers is 0.0 cents/kWh.

This rate is subject to change, and we will let you know beforehand if it does.

QUEENSLAND

From 1st of May 2023, Tango’s FiT for new customers is 0.0 cents/kWh.

This rate is subject to change, and we will let you know beforehand if it does.

Please note all feed-in rates are exclusive of GST, and customers who provide their ABN and notice of GST registration will be paid GST for feed-in purchased by Tango Energy.
