How long does switching take?
Getting a quote takes seconds - simply enter your address above. If you're happy with your plan, our simple online sign-up only takes a few minutes. From there, we'll take care of the switch for you.
How long does it take to get my energy connected?
For electricity:
Your electricity connection will start on the date you choose when signing up.
If you need power connected today, call us on 1800 950 613 (before 2:30 pm) and we’ll arrange a speedy connection.
Make sure all switches are turned off to avoid a rejected connection or extra charges.
For gas:
Usually, gas is already connected and will work on the day you choose when signing up. If a connection visit is needed, we’ll arrange it with your Distributor and keep you updated every step of the way.
If I sign up to Bonus Booster Plan, when do I recieve my credit?
Once you've signed up to the Bonus Booster Bundle, you'll receive your energy credit on your first bill.
Are there any exit fees?
Nope! No lock-in contracts or exit fees so you can enjoy energy without the commitment.
Do I need to contact my old energy provider?
Nope! We’ll handle the switch for you and let you know once your energy supply has been transferred.
Is there a connection fee?
Sometimes your local Distributor charges a fee to connect or disconnect energy – it depends on your location. If a fee applies, it’ll appear on your first Tango Energy bill.
Other fees that may apply include:
- After-hours connections
- Disconnecting power or requesting a final read when moving out
- Special meter reads
