Faults and power outages
The infrastructure, such as poles and wires, that deliver electricity to your home or business is owned and managed by your local distributor. They work hard to ensure that power outages are kept to a minimum but sometimes factors such as bad weather and scheduled maintenance may disrupt your electricity supply. In the event of an electrical emergency, fault or outage, you can call the 24 hour assistance line operated by the electricity distributor in your area. This number is printed for you at the top of each Tango Energy bill.
If you don’t have a copy of your bill, the 24 hour emergency contact numbers for all electricity distributors in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and ACT are listed below.
There are five electricity distributors in Victoria and they are each responsible for a geographic region of the state. If you are not sure who your distributor is you can find out by looking at your electricity bill or calling us on 1800 010 648, Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.30pm (AET), excluding public holidays.
