Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

Tango Energy recognises that current measures to protect the community from COVID-19 transmission are important and necessary. These measures have also created new challenges and financial difficulties for many people and it is equally important to deal with these. Tango Energy wishes to help all customers throughout this difficult period and will provide financial assistance to those who need it. We can also give guidance on how to apply for grants to help meet your energy costs.
These are exceptional, unprecedented, and very rapidly changing circumstances and we are doing the best we can to work with the Government, industry, to support our customers.

Concessions and life support applications
Tango has made it easier to apply for concessions and no longer requires medical concession forms to be signed by a medical practitioner, until further notice. This will reduce unnecessary travel and social contact and help take the load off busy medical practitioners.

Payment plans, financial support and grants
If your household is facing financial difficulties as a result of COVID-19 please call Tango on 1800 010 648. We can arrange a payment plan, payment extension or guide you through the application process to apply for State Government financial support to help pay your bill. Continuation of your energy supply
Tango Energy will not disconnect your energy supply, but please seek financial support from us if you need it. If your energy supply is disrupted, please contact your energy distributor. If you are unsure who your distributor is, visit the Australian Energy Regulator website or call us on 1800 010 648.
Additional relief that may become available
Energy networks (distributors) are planning a targeted support package, to be made available via energy retailers. This will provide relief on the network cost components of bills to customers that have been severely impacted by the COVID19 crisis. Tango is one of many retailers currently working with Energy Networks Australia on the operational details of this initiative. We will provide more information including eligibility criteria and how to apply, once it becomes available.
